Not very far from Totalan, some 9kms walking you can find one of the highest peaks in the surrounding area, the "Santa Pita" hill….

Good Friday’s Easter procession in Totalan, was celebrated with a high number of inhabitants which came to see it.
The women walked through the streets carrying The Virgin "Dolores" and the men carried the cross with our Saviour Jesus Christ.

THE HAIL STAINS TOTALAN WHITE

The hail storm took place between 6a.m and 10.00a.m on Maunday Thursday.
The storm,which travelled from Malaga to Granada, fell in Totalan quite heavily.

The State Meterological Agency had previously forecasted an ‘orange’ alert for Maunday Thursday and for rains of up to 30 square litres in one hour.
The rain caused a few problems today,and also some damage in the village, mainly by the accumulation of hail.

An example of local art done by an adorable couple,and villagers from Totalan Marisela and Eduardo. Both of them are painters yet with very different styles, and they are also craft workers expressing their wide range of ceramics created by them in their workshop "Arcadia".
Eduardo recently recovered a very old recipe, that he’s known about for a long time,and it is a delicious liquor taken from carob beans that was famous in days gone by, mainly by sailors that passed by the Mediterranean on thier way to Greece or to India.
This liquor also has stimulating properties and afrodisiacs,and is a product which is exclusivally "Made in Totalan".
